Job description

We are seeking an Assistant Director for the restaurant Modavie, who will play a key role in creating an exceptional customer experience. In collaboration with the General Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient management of daily operations, overseeing the dining service, and ensuring adherence to our quality standards. 

You will motivate the team by fostering a positive work environment and encouraging collaboration. Your impact on achieving financial objectives will be crucial, involving performance analysis, cost management, and revenue optimization. 

In summary, your role will combine leadership, operational management, and a strong service orientation to make Modavie an unmissable destination for our guests. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Jointly manage operations with the General Manager, Executive Chef, Maître d'Hôtel, and Sous Chefs. 

  • Train, effectively recruit, guide on the floor, motivate, and inspire a team of hospitality professionals in daily activities. 

  • Plan training sessions for staff development and motivation. 

  • Contribute to the company’s objectives by maintaining high standards of customer service and operational management. 

  • Effectively monitor budget management. 

  • Maximize the profitability of operations while ensuring the maintenance of quality standards in both service and products. 

  • Collaborate with the Director in their tasks.

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • You have a strong ability to engage and mobilize teams. 

  • You possess good communication skills. 

  • You have 3 to 5 years of experience in restaurant management. 

  • You have excellent customer service skills. 

  • You have expertise in software such as Opentable, Excel, Beanworks, ImenuPro, and Revinate. 

  • You have the energy, stamina, and availability for this demanding role, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

  • You are bilingual in French and English for effective communication with an international clientele. 

  • You consistently maintain exemplary service standards.
