WHO WE ARE:

Levy Canada is the exclusive caterer for the Bell Centre, home of the Montreal Canadiens and the evenko production company. Levy specializes in arena and stadium catering for sports teams across North America.  Working in an exceptional environment, you'll have the chance to contribute to the success of major events such as field hockey games, shows, outdoor festivals and numerous private events. Assisted by a team of experienced managers, the candidate will evolve in the dynamic environment of the event industry.

Reporting to the Backstage Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the smooth running of show tours at the Bell Centre and Place Bell in Laval. This is an hourly, event-based position.

Job responsibilities:

- Take charge of the production memo (Rider) for groups performing at the Centre Bell and Place Bell; sort out requests for meals and artist box items;

- Compose menus in collaboration with the chefs, menus that meet the group's requests as well as the established budget;

- Establish billing for each service based on requests, and obtain approval;

- Communicate primarily in English by e-mail or telephone with the group's catering manager;

- Ensure optimal communication between departments on D-day;

- Ensure that the backstage catering area is a warm place where tour members are greeted with a smile and a good mood. "It's a home away from home";

- Purchasing special items for artists' dressing rooms;

- Be the point of contact on the morning of the show and supervise the service staff;

-Know, understand and comply with all relevant operational standards and procedures;

-Ensure strict compliance with the quality assurance, cleanliness and health & safety program;

-Support the team in off-site operations when required.

-Must be in good physical condition, able to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods of time. 

Requirements

About you:

- Own a car;

- Languages: primarily English, both spoken and written, and French;

- 3 years' experience in organizing events that include catering;

- Energetic, resilient, able to manage several priorities at the same time;

- Ability to manage stressful situations;

- Meticulous, organized, discreet, professional and able to manage time;

- Proficiency in Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook);

- Be honest and have an impeccable work ethic.

- Must have a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
