Permanent Weekly Shedule -

Mon-Wed (12:00pm-7:30pm) = $17.62

SUMMARY

Maintains kitchen work areas and equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Assists cook staff in the preparation and serving of meals as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a clean, neat appearance adhering to Uniform Policy at all times.

  • Adhere to Compass QA policies for personal hygiene and food handling.

  • Undergo job specific and company safety training.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.

  • Maintains an awareness of   Chartwells contractual obligations for the project relating to the department.

  • Continually review duties with the object of reducing cost and increasing profitability without loss of standard.

  • Advise management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing dollars invested in physical inventories, operating at budgeted product costs, and avoiding product shortages.

  • Prepares and cooks food according to standardized recipes, ensuring food is cooked at the proper temperature and at the proper length of time.

  • Operates food services equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.

  • Required to assist with stocking of all food serving areas according to the number of persons to be served, with a focus on quality, appearance, adequate stocking levels, and minimizing leftovers and product waste.

  • Assists in serving meals, remaining present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.

  • Must have cashier experience including opening and closing procedures

  • Work with Marketing and Manager to set up and serve POP UP promo menus.

  • Serve customers quickly and courteously using proper service techniques and portioning.

  • Ensure that all prepared products are correctly recorded on production logs.

  • May be required to assist in preparation of main meal according to specifications and daily menu.

  • May be required to do short order cooking.

  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within production and service time frames established for the job.

  • Ensure all daily and weekly Logs are completed for the station and handed to Manager for weekly sign off.

  • Clean tables in eating areas as needed to maintain a clean and orderly eating area.

  • Assist anywhere else in the kitchen during service as needed.

  • Represents Company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer and employee interactions.

  • Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.

  • Ability to interact with customers in order to assure customer satisfaction

  • Ensure good order and maintenance of all equipment by immediately reporting any deficiencies to management/supervisors.

  • Provide management with copies of any site specific procedures that have been developed in performance of duties.

  • Washes pots, pans, and trays.

  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.

  • Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.

  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

  • Stocks and sets up tables. Removes trays and dishes from tables promptly.

  • Washes and peels vegetables and other food as directed by cook.

  • Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards, and company inventory and property control procedures.

  • Perform all duties in the safest possible manner and report all incidents and health &safety concerns to the supervisor or manager

  • Fill out all HACCP logs bringing any discrepancies to your Manager immediately.

  • Follow opening, closing and cleaning checklists.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TRAINING REQUIRED

Must have completed 24/7 training and all modules must be kept current

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Basic Food Safety Training, and others as required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
