This iconic and emblematic hotel in Montreal was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 1000 customers. Reporting to the restaurant supervisors, the busser holds a crucial role within our establishment. Responsible for maintaining the smoothness and cleanliness of the dining area, the busser plays a pivotal role in enhancing the customer experience by ensuring efficient service and a pleasant atmosphere. By closely collaborating with both the service and kitchen teams, the busser contributes to ensuring that each customer enjoys a welcoming and tidy environment while facilitating the smooth running of daily operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensuring prompt and efficient clearing of tables after guests depart.
- Cleaning tables, chairs, and other surfaces to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Ensuring that dishes are removed and placed in appropriate areas for washing.
- Assisting in rearranging tables and chairs to accommodate new guests.
- Supporting servers as needed, including bringing additional drinks or utensils.
- Collaborating with the kitchen team for waste management and cleaning of preparation areas.
- Adhering to hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
Requirements:
- No prior experience required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain the cleanliness of the dining area.
- Good physical condition, capable of lifting and moving heavy objects if necessary.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Languages: Bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written, is required for this position as we serve an international clientele.
