Job description
We are currently looking to hire one (1) experienced full-time (30-40 hours per week) Chef. The Chef will be primarily responsible for planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities according to the Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine and culture, as well as halal food standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation and kitchen management;
- Oversee kitchen operations and ensure high standards are maintained at all times;
- Innovate and develop new recipes;
- Design menus and uphold high-quality food standards;
- Regularly prepare and cook meals, including Turkish/Mediterranean specialty dishes for guests or events;
- Collaborate with clients on arrangements for various banquets and unique events;
- Coordinate equipment procurement and maintenance;
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ordering supplies when necessary.
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
