  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, especially hot plates such as Teriyaki, Bulgogi, Soup and Bento boxes
  • Assist the Sushi chef in preparing all kinds of Sushi, Sashimi and roll plates
  • Plan menus, determine size of food portions
  • Estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work area

  • Completion of Secondary education
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Japanese or Asian restaurant
  • Good knowledge of Japanese meals will be a great asset
  • Must speak English
  • Must be available for working in the evening and weekend
