Job description
Nippon Sushi is a Japanese restaurant located in 1155 Shediac Rd, Moncton, NB, E1A 5L1 and we are looking for a full-time cook who can work with us.
Position: Cook (full-time)
Wage: $13.75/h
Working hours per week: 30-40 hrs
Employment period: Permanent
Job Description
- Assist the Sushi chef in preparing all kinds of Sushi, Sashimi and roll plates
- Help develop our menu by participating in creation of new dishes and services
- Plan menus, determine size of food portions
- Estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Clean kitchen and work areas

Requirements
- Completion of Secondary Education
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Japanese or East Asian restaurant
- Good knowledge of Japanese meals will be a great asset
- Must speak English
- Must be available for working in the evening and weekend
