Requirements

Cook

Prepare and cook food by following established recipes and procedures; · Ensure the maintenance of equipment and workspaces; Ensure the quality and freshness of the products used and keep an inventory of food, supplies and equipment; · Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen; · Ensure compliance with standards regarding the quality and presentation of the dishes served; Occasionally supervises the opening and closing of the kitchen; · Perform all other related tasks.

 

Server / his

greet customers, present the menu, make suggestions and answer questions about food / allergies and beverages;

take orders and pass them on to kitchen and bar staff;

recommend wines to match the foods ordered;

serve food and drinks ordered;

prepare and serve house specialties at customers' tables;

present the bill to customers and collect the amounts due

Bar

take orders from waiters at tables or directly from customers;

mix alcohol, soft drinks, water and other ingredients to make cocktails and other drinks;

prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages for food and beverage servers, or serve them directly to customers;

collect payments for drinks sold and record sales;

maintain and control stock inventory and order alcoholic beverages and supplies;

clean counters and wash glasses;

ensure compliance with provincial and territorial alcohol laws and regulations;

train and supervise, if necessary, other bartenders and bar staff
