POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for a nice colleague to fill a Butler position. The Maitre d 'oversees the dining room service. He / she coordinates all activities and provides service that meets customer expectations and requirements. The Butler works in close collaboration with his / her Assistant as well as the Director of Food Services.



ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Food Services
  • Assist in ensuring resident and staff safety in the dinning room by enforcing compliance with health and safety standards
Management
  • Assist with the staffing process in your area by onboarding, training and integrating new personnel
  • Ensure effective communication to your teams and to the residence in general
  • Ensure that business processes are effective and resident services are of a high quality
Food Services
  • Greet clients and orient new residents by proposing their seat at an appropriate table
  • Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable
  • Manage guests' reservations and ensure their comfort
  • Participate in table service with your team of waiters
Management
  • Perform staff assessment

Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (an asset)
  • knowledge of a Maitre D's responsibilities (an asset)
  • Experience in personnel management
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
