Job description

Le Chateau Royal is seeking a very creative, energetic Sous Chef who will be responsible for carrying the Chef’s leadership direction to the kitchen team.  The successful individual should be a proven leader and perform well under pressure. He/She will be responsible for menu planning and will work closely with the Executive Chef to improve the quality of product as well as kitchen operations.  The individual should act as a mentor to all culinary department employees and hold them accountable to expected results.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of operational experience in a high-volume banquet kitchen
  • Ability to control food costs
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Diploma in Culinary Management and /or Chef Accreditation is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
  • Driven and focused to execute with excellence
