Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

$ 16 per hour

A Food Helper is an employee of food production services whose role is to assist the chef in basic preparation and to wash dishes and other items to help the staff keep the kitchen clean.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Respect the hygiene and food safety protocols

• Respect workplace health and safety policies and procedures

• Wash and cut the vegetables

• Weigh the portions of food

• Prepare orders

• Wash dishes, glasses and utensils by hand or using a dishwasher

• Clean refrigerators, ovens and kitchen equipment

• Keep the kitchen clean (floors, equipment, materials)

• Empty trash cans and transport garbage into containers

• Help in the preparation of certain food products

• Execute the directives of the chef

• Any other related task

 

Working conditions:

 

Work with variable hours, work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Work under pressure during peak hours.

Requirements

 

Skills and qualifications:

 

• Professional attitudes and behavior (skills for teamwork, autonomy, dynamism,        interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills, etc.)

• Good physical condition

•Timeliness

• Tolerance to stress

 

Experience:

 

• No specific experience is required.

• Salary: $ 16 / hour
