Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

We are looking for a seasoned head chef who will be responsible for running the kitchen and training of staff of the Kobe Sizzlers confidential (secret) recipes. The detailed responsibilities of the position include:

 

·         Planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities of the restaurant, which includes a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items;

·         Preparing and cooking dishes based off Kobe Sizzlers in-house sauces and recipes;

·         Hiring and training staff for preparation of items for grilling, frying sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating in in-house recipes;

·         Supervising cooks and other workers in the proper planning and garnishing presentation procedures of Kobe Sizzlers Dishes;

·         Communicating with the team and management regarding preparation of new recipes for Kobe Sizzlers;

·         Estimate food requirements, and food and labour costs;

·         Arranging for kitchen equipment purchases and repairs;

·         Preparing and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.

Requirements

Requirements:

 

·         Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience presenting sizzling cuisine, including the use of hot plates;

·         Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Hakka Chinese/Thai cuisine Chef;

·         Knowledge of food costs, ordering, inventory management, working schedules, and menu creation;

·         Specializes in grilling, frying, and sautéing meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items;

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills;

·         Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment;

·         Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
