Job description
Main functions:
- Ensure that each server is informed about the menu details.
- Coordinate all setup tasks for lunch and/or dinner service.
- Ensure that the restaurant's ambiance (music, lighting, temperature, employee attire, etc.) is appropriate for the type of service.
- Manage reservations and seating plans.
- Handle guest reception (arrival and departure).
- Oversee all dining room activities and be capable of performing each role to deliver service in line with the house policies.
- Ensure customer satisfaction during and after service and address any complaints if necessary.
- Assist with service during peak periods as needed.
- Conduct rounds in each department to ensure tasks have been performed correctly (cellars and bars locked, cleaning, setup, etc.).
- Perform daily inspections of dining room service areas and common areas, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards.
- Ensure bar requisitions are executed.
- Assist the restaurant manager in human resource management (hiring staff, training, work allocation, scheduling, performance evaluation, conflict resolution, etc.).
- Monitor the training of new employees.
- Engage with the manager on various operational matters.
- Responsible for monthly inventories.
- Perform any other related tasks.
- This job may require the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 11 kg. It also involves standing or walking for extended periods.

Requirements
Desired criteria :
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Warm, attentive, and welcoming
- Strong organizational skills
- 3 years of relevant management experience
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer knowledge (Maître D, Excel, Agendrix)
- High customer service orientation
- Knowledge of oenology, spirits, and beers
- Availability to work on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
