Properly greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. Obtaining solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. Coordinating with the restaurant manager to ensure all seating arrangements are fulfilled and assigned. Ensuring that the proper rotation of server sections are conducted. Accurate count of food and beverage menus and properly distributed. Being alert and call guests to host stand when the table is clean and reset.
Duties and Responsibilities
Knowing all the dining room table numbers
Greeting guests upon their arrival and departure
Seating guests accordingly to their requirements and to ensure a good flow of service
Assisting to help clear and set tables when you are able to.
Perform the cleaning tasks specified for your department
Knowing and proper rotation of servers respective sections
Preparing the reservation list for service and the assigning of tables to guests in regards there reservations.
Gathering menus throughout service and ensuring that they remain clean and well kept.
Maintaining a clean and organized station at all times.
Communication with the busboys constantly to ensure quick and efficient service.
Forecast an approximate wait time when guests are waiting to be seated to dine.
Maintain a structured wait list and coordinate accordingly.
Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
Be 18 years of age
Be able to communicate in English and french
A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
