**About Motto:**
Motto is a unique handroll bar specializing in fresh, made-to-order handrolls served in a fast-paced, counter-style setting. Located in the heart of the Old Port of Montreal, Motto offers an intimate Japanese-style experience, where 20 guests sit around the bar and are served directly by the chef. The menu consists of 8 different hand rolls, sides, and a selection of beer and sake, providing a simple yet refined dining experience.

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a talented Hostess with a flair for mixology to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restaurant industry and some mixology experience would be an asset, as well as a passion for providing exceptional guest service. You will play a key role in welcoming and engaging with our guests, ensuring they have a memorable and enjoyable experience at Motto.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and optimize table assignments to maintain smooth service flow
- Prepare and serve a selection of beverages, including our specialty cocktails, beer, and sake
- Provide recommendations and answer guests' questions about the menu and drink options
- Take care of providing bills and managing payments with clients
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency

Requirements
**Qualifications:**
- 1-2 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with a background in mixology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for providing exceptional guest service
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
- Must live in Montreal or have a valid Canadian work visa
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
