As a Kitchen Attendant, you will be part of a dynamic team within a dining establishment. Your main role will be to assist the chefs and kitchen staff in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced and demanding environment where precision, efficiency, and collaboration are essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting in ingredient preparation by peeling, cutting, chopping, and measuring the necessary quantities as per the instructions of the chefs.
- Maintaining a constant supply of fresh and high-quality ingredients by ensuring proper storage.
- Assisting the chefs in cooking dishes by preparing the necessary utensils, monitoring cooking times, and following recipes.
- Being responsible for cleaning and maintaining dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment, and work surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment, following hygiene and food safety protocols.
- Participating in inventory management of kitchen products and supplies, reporting restocking needs to the supervisor, and ensuring proper storage of perishable and non-perishable items.
- Supporting the kitchen team by performing various tasks such as tray preparation, dish assembly, plate presentation, and cleaning work surfaces, among others.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the restaurant industry.
- Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Aptitude for following instructions from chefs and adhering to recipes.
- Versatility and ability to adapt to changing kitchen needs.
- Team spirit and excellent communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads if necessary.
