We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Steward to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and efficient maintenance of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Your essential role will involve ensuring spotless dishes and supporting the team by maintaining organized mise en place. Your ability to follow instructions accurately, work effectively under pressure, and contribute to a positive kitchen atmosphere will be crucial for the smooth operation of our establishment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Learns and familiarizes oneself with cleaning products, understanding their proper use, composition, and necessary precautions for handling.
• Operates and performs regular maintenance of the dishwasher according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, ensuring its proper functioning to guarantee clean and hygienic dishes.
• Sorts, cleans, and accurately organizes clean dishes, storing them in designated areas for optimal organization and easy access.
• Ensures continuous supply of cleaning products and necessary consumables to their station, maintaining adequate inventory to meet operational needs.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the workstation, storage shelves, carts, and work areas, strictly adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
• Proactively performs periodic equipment maintenance, conducting regular checks, thorough cleanings, and promptly reporting any anomalies or repair needs to the technical team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 2 years of experience in cooking, primarily in hotel establishments.
• Strong ability to work as part of a team and ensure smooth communication, with proficiency in French and English for interaction with international suppliers.
• Excellent stress management skills, ability to work calmly and maintain high performance during busy periods.
• Developed organizational skills for efficient work and adherence to deadlines.
• Energy, endurance, and availability for a demanding role, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
