Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Pastry Clerk is responsible for the preparation and production of desserts, pastries and baked goods in the hotel restaurant. You will work closely with the pastry team to assist in daily tasks, helping to provide quality sweet creations to customers of the establishment.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and weighing of ingredients needed to make desserts, pastries and baked goods.
- Work under the direction of the pastry chef to participate in the production of desserts and pastries according to established standards. This includes preparing the dough, filling, baking, frosting and decorating.
- Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of work space, utensils and baking equipment.
- Participate in setting up workstations before services.
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels of ingredients, semi-finished products and baking supplies.
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards for flavor, texture and presentation of desserts and pastries.
Requirements:
- Passion for baking and interest in lifelong learning.
- Ability to follow recipes and pastry chef instructions.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to work with precision.
- Strong sense of organization and cleanliness.
- Compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
Languages:
- Ability to communicate in French orally and in writing.
