Job Title: Pastry Chef

Job Description:

As the Pastry Chef in our local, family-owned establishment, you will be at the heart of our pastry and chocolate department, responsible for creating, managing, and overseeing all operations related to pastry and chocolate. You will also be responsible for customer service, supported by a dedicated, youthful team. Our clientele, passionate and discerning, values quality and freshness.


  • Design and develop creative, gourmet dessert menus in collaboration with management, with offerings that evolve seasonally.
  • Organize and plan the production of all pastries, chocolates, sweet products, and savory items, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate a small pastry team to build customer loyalty and attract new clients.
  • Manage purchasing, structured inventory, and raw material costs to ensure profitability.
  • Strictly adhere to food hygiene and safety standards in all operations.
  • Contribute to the development of catering offerings and expand external clientele.

  • Previous experience as a sous chef or pastry chef (3-5 years).
  • Positive leadership and ability to inspire team members.
  • Creativity and passion for the craft.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Degree in pastry or related field (an asset).
  • Proficiency in pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
