Position: Production Associate - Cook

Terms of Employment: Permanent / Full Time

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Hours of Work: 40 hours/week

Benefits: Eligible for discretionary bonuses and increases in salary.

Duties:

 

·         Assist in all aspects of salad production including washing, preparing, assembly and packaging;

·         Practice GMP and other quality standards set by the quality control department; 

·         Cleaning and organizing the processing areas;

·         Collaborate, work with the production team and other staff to ensure production needs are met;

·         Pack, stage and keep orders ready for pick-up and delivery;

·         Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods;

·         Prepare and cook special meals for R&D Team;

·         Oversee kitchen operations;

·         Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;

·         May set up and oversee buffets;

·         May clean kitchen and work area;

·         May train kitchen staff; and

·         Pack orders for online and wholesale customers. 

Requirements

·         1 year of experience preparing and cooking vegan meals

·         Experience working in a fast-paced environment

·         Operate a variety of kitchen/production equipment 

·         Must have knowledge of vegan ingredients

·         Ability to create new and innovative meals is considered an asset

·         Experience preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance 

·         Knowledge of food safety and sanitation

·         Minimum Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
