Position: Regional Financial Controller
Under the supervision of the Regional Director of Accounting and Finance, the Regional Financial Controller plays a central role in the financial management of a hotel portfolio. This key position requires a keen analytical sense, expertise in accounting management and the ability to collaborate effectively with several departments. You will act as a true partner to support the financial and operational decisions of our hotels, while ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Requirements
Key
responsibilities:
1. Management of financial operations
· Monthly closing of accounts for hotels under your supervision: processing of accounting entries (adjustments, provisions, inventory variations, etc.).
· Preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and management reports, in accordance with deadlines.
· Monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliation, as well as cash flow management and short- and medium-term financial forecasts.
· Overseeing annual audits and preparing files for external auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
2. Team management and training
· Train and supervise the accounting teams of the hotels under your supervision, acting as a coach.
· Collaborate in the development of day-to-day financial procedures and to-do lists to maximize efficiency.
· Supervise and support the teams in the deployment of the Workday project and the preparation of annual budgets.
3. Compliance and internal control
· Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies through regular communications, spot checks, and site visits.
· Act as the primary point of contact for hotel management teams, offering advice on accounting and tax best practices.
4. Relationship with stakeholders
· Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, government authorities, financial institutions, and owners/shareholders.
· Actively participate in the development of financial strategies in collaboration with operational teams and other departments, in order to optimize the financial performance of hotels.
5. Investment Management and CAPEX
· Tracking of capital expenditures (CAPEX) for the hotels under your responsibility and preparation of detailed reports.
· Support teams in grant applications, as appropriate, and ensure that funds are allocated efficiently and in accordance with investment plans.
Competence & Quality
- 3—5 years of experience in a senior accounting position (Controller or Assistant Controller), preferably in the hotel or restaurant industry.
- University training in accounting, administration, hospitality an asset.
- Strong math, numbers and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English, both oral and written.
- Sense of initiative, curiosity, discretion, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
