The Courtyard Marriott is located in the heart of Montreal, near the Palais des congrès, a few minutes from the most famous underground city in the world, Place des Arts, shops and boutiques on the effervescent rue Ste-Catherine and the Old -Montreal. The hotel offers 212 spacious rooms, conference rooms, indoor swimming pool and hot tub, exercise room as well as a restaurant, lounge bar and coffee counter.

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing manager, the Sales Manager's main role is physical and telephone prospecting, market and customer analysis, preparation of proposals and contracts, completing reports and achieving objectives of sales and marketing.



Target, solicit and contract new accounts in specific market segments, such as corporate and groups.

Conduct solicitations and inspection visits to establish and maintain long-term business relationships.

Propose specific marketing actions to support market segments and develop existing accounts in order to achieve sales objectives.

Analyze supply and demand and competition to propose sales strategies to different markets.

Enter, maintain and update information in computer systems and ensure follow-up of files.

Participate in business fairs, external activities with clients and take prospecting trips as needed.

Prepare and write weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.

Maintain the confidentiality of hotel information, including conversations, personal information, and guest records.

Comply with Courtyard Marriott and RIMAP Hospitality standards.

Participate in the "director on duty" program.

All other related tasks.



Minimum of 3 years of experience as a hotel sales manager.

College diploma in hotel management, administration or other related field.

Computer literate, MS Office suite.

Proficiency of DELPHI software (an asset)

Maintain a professional appearance and conduct yourself in a mature manner and with integrity at all times, including performances outside the hotel.

Have an excellent presentation, good elocution and good interpersonal skills to meet the expectations of a corporate and diverse clientele.

Strong negotiation and prospecting skills.

Communicates perfectly in English and French, both orally and in writing.
