We are seeking a passionate full-time Sushi Cook to join our team and play a key role in preparing exceptional sushi. As a Sushi Chef, you will assist the Chef de Partie by actively participating in sushi preparation and ensuring the visual and taste quality of each dish. You will be responsible for setting up your station, preparing ingredients, assembling various types of sushi, and aesthetically plating the rolls.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare and assemble sushi following specific recipes and techniques, ensuring a neat and appealing presentation.
- Set up the sushi station, preparing the necessary ingredients while ensuring their freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workspace by regularly cleaning utensils, cutting boards, and work surfaces.
- Collaborate with the Chef de Partie to optimize the setup and support kitchen operations, facilitating efficient service.
- Always ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
- Contribute to the creation of flavorful and visually pleasing sushi dishes, using a keen attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.

Requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience in sushi preparation or a similar role, with a thorough knowledge of sushi rolling techniques.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in cooking, primarily in hotel establishments.
- MAPAQ Hygiene and Sanitation Certificate
- Strong ability to work as part of a team and ensure smooth communication, with proficiency in French and English for interaction with international suppliers.
- Excellent stress management skills, ability to work calmly and maintain high performance during busy periods.
- Developed organizational skills for efficient work and adherence to deadlines.
- Energy, endurance, and availability for a demanding role, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
