Knowing the food and beverage menu thoroughly and recommendation of items to the guests. Taking order from guests either on the phone or in person and punching them in the POS correctly. Punching orders in the POS from multiple delivery service tablets. Verifying food orders before pickup or delivery and packing them in a stable matter. Dispatching orders to drivers and assigning them to the most logical route to it’s accurate destination. Ensure the precise collecting of bill payments including cash, debit and credit transaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Count cash til and ensure it is balanced at the start and end of your shift.
Restock fridges with beverages, salad dressings, etc… establish proper rotation.
Restock take-out containers, take-out bags, menus, condiments etc…
Answering the phone in a friendly and professional manner
Prioritize callers in order, switch lines, put a customer on hold, transfer calls and takes messages.
The usage of proper revenue centers when punching in an order in POS.
Confirming with the online tablets (Delivery service) that their order is ready for pick up.
Entering a customer’s address information in the POS and accurately taking their directions for the delivery drivers.
Up-selling and repeating the order to the customer to ensure it is correct.
Coordinate with expediter on food related matters.
Determine the delivery wait time and to inform the customer of the anticipated wait.
Process payments on POS and on the interact terminals.
Perform cleaning tasks at takeout station.
