As the Terrace Director, you will be responsible for managing a unique time of year, a seasonal high rise dining service popular with the Montreal community and its visitors. Your role will include meeting the restaurant's objectives, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing and mobilizing staff. You will be a key player in a rapidly evolving company. With your high level of work ethic, passion for hospitality and restaurant expertise, you will ensure that Nelligan Terrace continues to grow and maintain its position at the top of the pellet list in Montreal.
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing and operating the terrace to ensure its efficiency and profitability. You will also act as a guide to lead the team to surpass the excellence of the customer experience while controlling operating costs. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and launch of Nelligan Terrace for the summer season. Essential Job Functions:
Participate in the recruitment, onboarding and development of the season's team;
Schedule staff as needed and ensure that they are present at the appropriate time;
Remain available in the dining room to ensure a service that meets the expectations of our guests;
Ensure proper planning of the inventory according to the expected traffic;
Ensure proper inventory planning based on anticipated traffic; Perform dining room checks to ensure proper set-up;
Ensure effective and continuous communication with the kitchen to ensure the smooth running of the various services;
Ensure customer satisfaction during and after service;
Supervise the work of the captains and the head hostess;
Control costs according to the Group's budgets and objectives;
Manage complaints, offer solutions to customers according to their needs and follow up as appropriate;
Lead, motivate and inspire a team of food service professionals in our daily operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
3 to 5 years of experience in a management position in an upscale restaurant preferably with a local or international reputation ;
Analytical skills, initiative and high adaptability to adjust to the needs of each guest;
Ability to provide excellent customer service at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders and clients;
Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high volume environment;
Effective priority and time management skills and the ability to multi-task; Positive and proactive attitude

Ability to lead and motivate a dynamic team to excel;
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing in English and French;
Strong computer skills with previous experience working with MS Office programs.
