Preparing a variety of salads and hors d'oeuvres; Garnishing dishes; plating cold foods; keeping up with industry trends and techniques; chopping, dicing, and carving fruits and vegetables; Stocking, washing, inspecting food for freshness and quality; sending out butters, cold sauces, and spreads with correct dishes. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, and fryers to prepare foods. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, and storing food before use. Prepare and cook food. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Monitor food quality while preparing food and throughout the day. Ensure the quality of the food items and notify the Chef if a product does not meet specifications. Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Set-up and break down work station. Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the Chef. Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Possibility for advancement.
• Dep certification. And MAPAQ certificate
• One to Two years experience in a similar position.
