Under the responsibility of the banquet manager, here is a brief description of your daily tasks: Duties and Responsibilities: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Manage the planning, organization, management and control of Banquet events;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Ensure complete customer satisfaction by collecting their comments and if necessary, manage customer complaints;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Supervise the service, inspect service areas and ensure compliance with department procedures;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Supervise, train, evaluate and encourage the performance of all its employees;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Plan schedules according to the collective agreement, manage the workforce according to the productivity ratios in place;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Apply the service standards of the Hotel;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Ensure the application of hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards at work;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Maintain an inventory of equipment and its storage (tables, chairs, easels, etc.);</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Proceed to the requisitions of dishes, alcohol, drinks and all the stock necessary for the proper planning of events;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Monitor and ensure that hotel property and equipment are used and stored safely;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Attend pre-conference meetings;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Act as a reference for on-site staff, particularly regarding invoicing, inventory taking and handling of service equipment;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">All other related tasks.</li> </ul> Required skills: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Knowledge of food and beverage service, including sommelier;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Developed leadership qualities;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Autonomous, very dynamic and motivated;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Developed sense of customer service;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Speed of execution and keen sense of organization;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Work experience in a unionized environment;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Experience with schedule planning;</li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Knowledge of the Micros, CiTy, Synerion system; an advantage;</li> </ul> Training: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Recognized diploma from a tourism and/or hotel school (or equivalent) or equivalent professional experience;</li> </ul> Number of years of experience required: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Minimum experience of one (1) year in a similar position and establishment;</li> </ul> Languages: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Bilingualism (French and English) spoken and written is required in this position, as we serve an international clientele.</li> </ul> Availability: <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Day, evening, and weekends.</li> </ul> Who are we: Tidan is a hotel and real estate group in business for 52 years with a portfolio of 12 hotels and more than 65 real estate properties, as well as the largest tennis club across North America.
