Are you a talented Sous Chef with a passion for culinary excellence and solid experience in the gastronomic industry? LLOYD Montréal, located in the heart of the Marriott Château Champlain, is looking for a dynamic Evening Sous Chef to join its team.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef is responsible for assisting with the management of culinary operations for the Lloyd restaurant, banquet services, and the beautiful BelVu Terrace. You will coordinate the daily culinary activities of unionized kitchen staff, assist in developing new recipes, and ensure compliance with quality and hygiene standards. The successful candidate may also coordinate culinary operations for both the restaurant and banquet kitchens based on operational needs. Work closely with our Executive Chef to create innovative and refined menus.

Lead and motivate the kitchen team with inspiring leadership.

Ensure flawless execution of dishes while maintaining the highest culinary standards.

Responsibilities

Assist the Chef in coordinating daily kitchen and banquet operations according to operational needs.

Participate in meal planning and preparation.

Supervise and mentor kitchen staff.

Maintain food quality and hygiene standards.

Contribute to the development of new recipes and appealing menus.

Manage inventory and stock of ingredients.

Train and motivate the kitchen team to achieve performance goals, including new culinary techniques and equipment.

Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations.

Collaborate with the Chef to optimize kitchen efficiency and productivity.

Assume the Chef’s responsibilities in their absence.
Required Experience
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Chef or Sous Chef in restaurants.
