Job description
OBJECTIVE
Under the direction of the chef and / or sous-chef, the diswasher is mainly responsible for washing the kitchen instruments as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the premises.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Wash dishes and utensils.
Wash fridges, stoves, carts, ladders, braising “steampots”, etc.
Ensures that cooks have the necessary plates and cutlery and that customers' dishes are clean.
Sorts and stack the plates, load and unload the dishwasher.
Sorts, stack and store cleaned items in a safe, organized manner.
Daily cleans the various plunge machines, floors and work surfaces.
Pick up garbage in food areas.
Ensures that all broken parts are withdrawn from circulation and inventoried.
Make sure the floors are always clean and dry.
Ensures the supply of soap and paper.
Respects policies, procedures and service standards (health and safety, WHMIS, sanitation and others)
Ensures the cleanliness and safety of the working environment.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma completed.
A minimum of one year of experience as a dishwasher.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Responsible.
Reliable.
Like to work in a team.
Good speed of execution.
Ability to work under pressure.
Availability: day, evening, weekends.
Be able to work long hours standing.
Move, lift, transport, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 15 pounds.
Communicate effectively in writing and orally, in French and English.
