Duties:
· Supervising, planning, organizing, and directing restaurant operations, including kitchen activities and food service staff, and overseeing staff training
· Determining types of services to be offered, including creating and planning menus in alignment with customer preferences, cost objectives, and nutritional standards
· Ensuring the quality, consistency, and safety of food prepared and served
· Providing customers with Italian wine and food pairing recommendations
· Overseeing inventory management, including ordering supplies, and ensuring effective cost control measures
· Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, waste, sales, and labour costs
· Setting staff work schedules and monitoring staff performance while ensuring health and safety regulations are followed
· Addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
· Collaborating with upper management team to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction
· Negotiating arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Requirements
Requirements:
· 3+ years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required
· Secondary school is required
· In depth knowledge of Italian regional cuisines, including differences in cooking styles, ingredient choices, and presentation is required
· Knowledge of food preparation methods and food safety regulations
· In depth knowledge of Italian wines and food pairings
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
· Possesses strong leadership and team management skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
