Job description

Bayrut is seeking a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join a kitchen built on authenticity, craftsmanship, and innovation. Our philosophy is rooted in a zero-fry kitchen, where every dish is slow-cooked, baked, or refined to highlight natural flavors. Our entire menu is inspired by our mother’s original recipes, preserving generations of Lebanese culinary tradition. We import over 75% of our core ingredients directly from Lebanon, including our own estate-grown olives and extra virgin olive oil, ensuring a truly authentic and deeply personal dining experience.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef in leading daily kitchen operations

  • Ensure excellence in execution, presentation, and consistency

  • Supervise and mentor kitchen team members

  • Maintain strict food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards

  • Uphold Bayrut’s philosophy of non-fried, high-quality cuisine

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a full-service restaurant or professional kitchen environment

  • MAPAQ certification required

  • Strong leadership, organization, and attention to detail

  • Ability to perform under pressure in a high-standard, fast-paced setting

  • Knowledge of Lebanese or Middle Eastern cuisine is a strong asset
