Job description
Bayrut is seeking a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join a kitchen built on authenticity, craftsmanship, and innovation. Our philosophy is rooted in a zero-fry kitchen, where every dish is slow-cooked, baked, or refined to highlight natural flavors. Our entire menu is inspired by our mother’s original recipes, preserving generations of Lebanese culinary tradition. We import over 75% of our core ingredients directly from Lebanon, including our own estate-grown olives and extra virgin olive oil, ensuring a truly authentic and deeply personal dining experience.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Executive Chef in leading daily kitchen operations

Ensure excellence in execution, presentation, and consistency

Supervise and mentor kitchen team members

Maintain strict food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards

Uphold Bayrut’s philosophy of non-fried, high-quality cuisine
Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a full-service restaurant or professional kitchen environment

MAPAQ certification required

Strong leadership, organization, and attention to detail

Ability to perform under pressure in a high-standard, fast-paced setting

Knowledge of Lebanese or Middle Eastern cuisine is a strong asset
