We are looking for an experienced cook, specialized in Korean and Japanese cuisine, to oversee the preparation of dishes and ensure the authenticity and quality of our menu.</p><p class="text-node">The position is suitable for someone with solid practical experience in Korean cuisine, as well as the ability to effectively manage operations in Japanese cuisine in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.</p><p class="text-node"></p><p class="text-node">Job Conditions</p><ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">Employment Type: Full-time, permanent</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Salary: $35.00/hour</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Schedule: 30 to 32 hours per week</p></li></ul><p class="text-node"></p><p class="text-node">Main Responsibilities</p><ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">Prepare and cook authentic Korean dishes such as bulgogi, bibimbap, Korean fried chicken, spicy pork, as well as various traditional side dishes (banchan), including kimchi</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Prepare hot Japanese dishes such as yakisoba, tempura, gyozas, and miso soup</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Develop and standardize Korean recipes, including sauces, marinades, and seasonings</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards in the kitchen</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Manage inventory and participate in ordering products and ingredients</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Train kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques</p></li></ul><p class="text-node"></p>

Requirements

<ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">High school diploma or equivalent</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Minimum of <strong>3 years of professional experience</strong> as a cook in a commercial restaurant specializing in Korean cuisine</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Minimum of <strong>1 year of professional experience</strong> in preparing hot Japanese dishes such as tempura, yakisoba, gyozas, and miso-based dishes</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Demonstrated experience in preparing key Korean dishes, including bulgogi, bibimbap, Korean fried chicken, spicy pork, soups, kimchi, and traditional sauces</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Ability to work independently as the lead cook during busy periods</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Ability to prepare multiple orders simultaneously under pressure</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Good knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Reliability, punctuality, and availability to work according to scheduled shifts based on operational needs</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Ability to communicate in French or English required.</p></li></ul><p class="text-node"></p><p class="text-node">Desired Assets</p><ul class="list-node"><li><p class="text-node">Experience in a Korean-Japanese fusion restaurant</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Experience in supervising kitchen assistants or kitchen staff</p></li><li><p class="text-node">Knowledge of inventory control and food cost management</p></li></ul><h1 class="heading-node"><span style="color: black;">Asset</span></h1><p class="text-node"></p>
