Making, taking and confirming guest reservations;</span></p><p class="text-node"><span> </span></p><p class="text-node"><span>2. Assigning rooms, registering arriving guests and helping them check into Pangea;</span></p><p class="text-node"><span> </span></p><p class="text-node"><span>3. Helping guests understand how Pangea works, including its house rules;</span></p><p class="text-node"><span> </span></p><p class="text-node"><span>4. Advising guests on how to get the best out of their stay: recommending activities and helping with orientation, both in terms of the hotel and the Village, and providing information about services available in the community;</span></p><p class="text-node"><span> </span></p><p class="text-node"><span>5. Maintaining an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments;</span></p><p class="text-node"><span> </span></p><p class="text-node"><span>6. Answering enquiries regarding hotel services and registration by email, by telephone and in person;</span></p><p class="text-node"><span> </span></p><p class="text-node"><span>7. Dealing with guest issues and complaints responding to guests' complaints;</span></p><p class="text-node"><span> </span></p><p class="text-node"><span>8. Compiling and checking daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using computerized and/or manual systems; and</span></p><p class="text-node"><span> </span></p><p class="text-node"><span>9. Presenting statements of charges to departing guests and receiving payments.</span></p><p class="text-node"><span> </span></p><p class="text-node"><span><strong>Terms of Employment: </strong>Full Time (min. 30 hours per week); night shifts start at 10pm</span></p><p class="text-node"><span><strong>Language of Work:</strong> English</span></p><p class="text-node"><span><strong>Wages:</strong> $24.00 per hour</span></p><p class="text-node"><span><strong>Education:</strong> Completion of High School</span></p><p class="text-node"><span><strong>Work Experience:</strong> Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a hotel required; two (2) years preferred. Additional experience is an asset.</span></p>
