We're looking to hire Chefs with rolling start dates over the next couple of months:

Duties:

 

·       Planning menus and ensuring food meets quality standards.

·       Supervising the activities of other chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.

·       Preparing and cooking Thai food on a regular basis, including for special guests and specialty functions.

·       Preparing and cooking specialty Thai foods such as; Thai curry, Laab Salad, Tom-Yum, Stir-fries, Skewers, Shrimp, Spring rolls, Pad Thai, Thai chili paste, Thai sauce, and other Thai cuisine.

·       Creating decorative food displays for special events such as banquets.

·       Instructing cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of specialty Thai food.

·       Overseeing kitchen operations.

 


Requirements

Requirements:

 

·       Completion of secondary school is required

·       Completion of post-secondary training in a related field are required; training in Thai culinary preferred;

·       2+ years of experience cooking Thai cuisine and the ability to cook fine Thai dishes without supervision;

·       Knowledge of food costs, ordering, inventory management, working schedules, and menu creation;

·       Knowledge of Thai dishes, including Thai curry, Curry paste, Laab Salad, Tom-Yum sauce, Stir-fries, Pad Thai, and other Thai cuisine;

·       Excellent communication and organizational skills;

·       Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;

·       Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
