Food Service Supervisor

Mado Café is a Turkish restaurant located at the Square One Shopping Centre known for its desserts like Turkish ice cream and baklava. In addition to its sweets, the restaurant serves a full menu with savory dishes such as kebabs, wraps, appetizers, and breakfast options.

We are currently looking to hire one (1) full-time (30-40 hours per week) Food Service Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to work in a physical work setting from our restaurant site in Mississauga, Ontario.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Supervise, and schedule daily activities of staff members responsible for food preparation and service of Turkish sweet and savoury dishes;

-Assess needs and order ingredients and supplies for meal preparation operations;

-Generate food order summaries for chef to address requests from customers;

-Create work schedules and establish operational procedures of food preparation team;

-Monitor and document stock levels, equipment maintenance, sales figures and wastage;

-Conduct staff training on job duties, sanitation standards and safety protocols;

-Inspect dishes and orders before providing to the customer to ensure authenticity and quality;

-Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service delivery;

-Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

- Work experience: 2 years of work experience in food service

- Language: English

- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

- Salary: $36 to $38.00 hourly (to be negotiated)
